The Manx SPCA rescues and rehomes all companion animals; dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, bearded dragons are all cared for seven days a week, every day of the year. The Manx SPCA is the 26th charity to be incorporated in the Isle of Man and is over 120 years old!

Charities rely on the generosity of the public to survive. Fundraising is the essential function of any charity since, without donations to fund the work, they fail. And so, Evolved Software bought several Foscam webcams and installed them in the cattery section’s ‘social rooms’ (the internet loves cats!).

‘Social rooms’ are living-room styled rooms where cats are available for adoption. Live feeds from these social rooms and donation buttons enable the Manx SPCA to generate interest from a worldwide audience and drive donations via interactive content on their website.

The cameras are Foscam’s latest specification and include state of the art High Definition CMOS sensors, infra-red night-vision to provide images at night without disturbing the resident felines and use nearly negligible bandwidth thanks to their advanced image compression and customisable image upload or retrieval rates.

We hope that the Manx SPCA enjoy the webcams and get many years of service from them.

Evolved Software is always looking for charities to support. If you’d like to be our next charity, please send an email to [email protected] and tell us why we’d be crazy not to help you!
