An internet insurance company required a system to support their sales team, policy document management, underwriting department and mail room.
New sold polices were printed with automatic barcodes and as the policy documentation was physically moved around the office it was scanned at various stations to log progress. Key Performance Indicators were not only captured, but displayed on airport-lounge style displays mounted throughout the building allowing staff and management to immediately sense the state of business for the day.
Underwriting is performed by scanning a document and amending or accepting the policy using a large UI touchscreen kiosk. After this, it may be scanned for the address label and posted.
The system enabled the business to grow and was implemented worldwide in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa.
